SIMPLY WISCONSIN, LLC

Simply Wisconsin, LLC, is a group of many certified organic farmers who have joined forces to supply the Madison and Chicago markets with local organic produce, meats, dairy, preserves, grains, and eggs. We operate under the rubric of community-supported agriculture* (CSA; for a definition, please see below), but we're very different in one special way - we work with over 30 certified organic farms rather than one farm, offering you a wider variety of seasonal organic produce than many local CSAs.

We believe that all consumers should have affordable access to healthy, locally grown produce that is organic. Organic should not be a product that is available only for a high price.

Simply Wisconsin LLC is a family-owned company run by Deb Hansen and her family: husband Kris, son Joshua, daughter Rachel, and daughter Carley.

*CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture." Joining a CSA is a commitment to help support local family farms by paying in advance for a share of produce for the season. In return, members receive certified organic produce on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (depending on the share). The advance payments help farmers with pre-season planning and planting, and helps share the risks and rewards of farming with the farmer, and keep you connected to where your food comes from.
